Energy Drink

I often make this drink the night before a major workout, and sip it throughout the following morning to be properly hydrated and to get energized and focused. Since yerba maté is a stimulant, be sure to have a recovery drink after the workout or race that includes maca, to help rebuild the adrenal glands.

  • 1 ½ cups coconut water
  • 1 yerba maté tea bag (or substitute 1 tsp loose yerba maté)

Pour the coconut water into a cup. Add yerba maté and let steep overnight at room temperate or in the fridge (tastes much better cold).
